I’m an award-winning writer, editor, copywriter, and content creator with over 20 years’ experience at national print magazines. I specialize in design, trend, and style stories, and I’m adept at everything from daily digital content to long-form reported features to service-forward product descriptions to attention-grabbing heds and deks.
During my two decades in New York City, I worked as a staff writer/editor at Martha Stewart Living, House Beautiful, HGTV, and Good Housekeeping. When I was the style editor at Budget Living, we won the National Magazine Award for General Excellence.
As a copywriter, I help clients craft brand and editorial strategies and optimize their marketing communications. My branded content clients include Discovery Personal Loans, Samsung, Home Depot, Toto, Schumacher, Levi Strauss & Co., Sunbrella, and Sherwin-Williams. I've also ghostwritten two bestselling interior design books.
I started my professional career in college, writing a weekly humor column for the student newspaper, editing the campus literary magazine, and working as a stringer for the local newspaper's style section. After graduation, I was an investigative reporter and editor at Baltimore magazine, then a staff writer and lifestyle editor at Philadelphia magazine.
In my off-hours, I'm training to be a docent at the Carnegie Museum of Art.
